Web 2.0 Technologies

What is Web 2.0? These technologies have different meanings for different people. Their meaning depends on who you are talking to. It was Tim O'Reilly that coin the word Web 2.0. However we will define Web 2.0 from a social communications point of view and its' relevance to evangelism.
Here is a video on Web 2.0 that will explain its significant on communications and later on this article I will expound on its importance on evangelism.

There are  two important properties of Web 2.0 that is relevant to evangelism. First is the separation of content from presentation. The second property is ability to redistribute content using RSS.
Content can come in the format of text, photos/graphics, audio/music and video/animation. There are Internet resources for each type. These will be my examples  for the training.

1. Text  -> blogs ie. www.blogspot.com
2. Photos/Graphics -> www.flickr.com
3. Video/Animation -> www.youtube.com
4. Audio/Music -> podcast ie  www.mypodcast.com

Think our these resources as having your own newspaper, radio station and tv show all in one. Best of all almost all of these are free.
